What is rage?

What is rage? According to the dictionary, it means violent, uncontrollable anger. Uncontrollable, hmm, interesting! I want to understand how it becomes uncontrollable? How possibly a person could lose self-control and hurt the other person. How in rage a person could abuse(both verbally and physically), judge someone’s character or kill. Does basic ethics not cross their mind even for once?

They say in anger practice to stay quiet as words hurt deeper. I have met people who know they can’t control their anger, and yet they don’t take any action for it. Doesn’t their self-conscious urge them to correct their actions?

Do such people know that they need help, and yet choose not to help themselves, or are they completely ignorant? Do they not comprehend that actions taken in uncontrollable anger are never right? Do they don’t feel like to have peace and the right state of mind all the time? Is it that hard to meditate a few minutes daily or use any other method to gain self-control? Do they not care to lose valuable people because of their rage? I honestly want to understand it.

Why instead of love, hatred is multiplying?

The other day I was discussing with my mom about norms. Since she is older than me so obviously we have a generation gap. The era we both were born are different, so does the way we perceive the world. Almost nothing shocks me maybe because I read about other cultures and to her many things are wrong.

First, my question was who decides what’s wrong and right. I agree there are basic etiquette and morals, but then again we humans decide and categorize rights and wrongs. After all the discussion I kept on thinking and concluded that everything wrong in this world is all because of different norms. It’s all because it’s so hard for humans to accept that the other person perceives this world differently, and his/her beliefs could be different than yours. Now I am not saying killing someone or terrorism is right. Killing an innocent soul is morally and ethically wrong and is not humane, but people who kill believes that they are right. A child when born is innocent, then while growing how does the same innocent child is filled with hatred, and loses his empathy? Did that child had no one to teach him about love and peace? Since we are talking about killing an innocent soul, so let’s take it as an example. As far as I know, a child learns from his parents and teachers first and then from the surroundings he chooses. Let’s say at first three people( mother, father, and teacher) try to develop and format a child’s brain, as these three people are the pillars in anyone’s life, and their impact is maximum, and so the ratio is 1:3. If even one pillar is weak, it will destroy the foundation. I honestly have no idea how many people like killing, but I do know it’s a lot, so let’s assume it’s one thousand. So for every one thousand killers, we have three thousand people filled with hatred and who are provoking them to kill other people. Let’s assume only one pillar was weak, so our ratio becomes 1:1, which means for every thousand killers we have a thousand people provoking them. Is it just me who is realizing this, or are there other people too who understand the graveness of this issue, that we are in danger, and I have no idea why people don’t talk about making peace! Why instead of love, hatred is multiplying?

I have other questions too but that is for next time.
