A short story about 2 children…..

When I was young, I read a story about 2 children who made a pact to collect the best stone at the beach. Since that time I haven’t forgotten that story. And I’m glad that I read that story as its words were deeply engraved on my heart.
Once, there were two young children who decided and made a pact to collect stones from the beach and to gift the best stone to each other. After several minutes of searching, they collected a number of stones. The first child being naive and due to his pure intentions gave the best stone to his best friend. The second child thought that maybe his friend didn’t give him his best stone, so he gave him a normal stone and kept the best stone with him. Then, they both decided to show all their stones. The first child lost his trust on his friend as he didn’t give him his best stone and the second child was in guilt for not trusting his friend.
The first child had pure intentions, and that’s what made his soul pure and that’s why he didn’t hesitate for even once to fulfill his promise. He perceived the world as he and his thoughts were. The second child had a corrupt mind, and he thought his friend to be like him. He perceived the world as he was.
Moral – The way you think is the way you perceive this world. If you are a liar, you will think everyone as a liar; if you are a thief, you will think everyone is a thief too. If your intentions are pure others will notice it at some point or the other, but if your intentions are impure, then karma will hit you at some point or the other.
