What we desire, we don’t get,
What we get is what we didn’t desire for,
But, at some point in time, we will realize that what we get is far better than what we had desired.
Our desire is a ‘want’ and not a ‘need’. What we want is always different from what we need. But, one question that always troubles me is who initiates our desires, our brain or our heart? I guess, it’s our brain that continuously lures and even if we don’t get what we desired, we will do fine because our heart knows what we really need.
If our ‘want’ turns into our ‘need’, that’s when passion, obsession starts and the ability to distinguish between right and wrong gets interrupted. I guess our need is limited to natural indispensable things such as food, air and water and rest all others are our desires because of which we find reasons to live.
